St. Patrick Catholic School

Faith-Based
Grades offered: 1st - 5th, Kindergarten, Pre-K

St. Patrick is a parish school within the Diocese of Corpus Christi.  Established in 1950, and accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department by the authority of the Texas Education Association, we serve 280 students in grades PreK-3 through six. We are fortunate to have a Pastor and Associate Pastor who are very involved with the school as well as the support of our parish family, St. Patrick Church.

The academic curriculum begins with a strong foundation in Reading and Math. The Department of Education named the school a “Blue Ribbon School of Excellence” in 1985, 1996 and 2006.  St. Patrick School truly educates the “whole” child.  In order to achieve this goal, there are formal programs in Art, Music, Computer Applications, Guidance and Spanish.  Believing that a healthy body contributes to a healthy mind, all students participate in Physical Education, with competitive athletics incorporated at an appropriate level.

Extra-curricular activities are an essential part of the educational program.  We have an award-winning Chess and Math programs.  We have instruction in art, dance, guitar, piano and choir. Students participate in organized basketball, volleyball and track.   Students are also encouraged to be involved by joining the Student Council, Safety Patrol, Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts.  Service is an important part of our program and many students serve as Altar Servers, lectors, musicians and gift-bearers at Mass.

High standards, a comprehensive curriculum, strong parental support and proven instructional strategies promote outstanding achievement for every student at St. Patrick School and provide continuous formation of their spiritual development.

Our school mascot is the Shamrock, our school colors are green and white and our school song is “Lady of Knock”.
